The video news space continues to heat up. Today, Business Wire entered the arena with the launch of BizWireTV, which will cover trending news stories published over Business Wire’s distribution network.
The new web video series will feature two weekly episodes. BizWireTV, the first weekly show, will spotlight stories on disruptive startups and technologies, entrepreneurs in the startup community, funding announcements, hot business trends and companies to watch. Business Wire will use its suite of media analytics and social monitoring tools to identify the week’s trending stories with the most resonance among readers and social influencers. The second weekly episode, The Accelerator Report, will feature a preview of upcoming IPOs, scheduled earnings announcements, recent funding announcements, and trends to watch in the coming week.
Acclaimed news programming producer, Amy Feller, is on board to executive produce BizWireTV. She comes to Business Wire following a role as executive producer for “The Suze Orman Show” on CNBC. Prior to that, she served as senior broadcast producer on MSNBC. Her accolades include four Regional Emmy Awards and two AP Best Newscast Awards. The host of BizWireTV is Erin Ade, who made a name for herself on “Boom Bust” for RT America. She is a talented on-air personality with a striking presence and carries experience in reporting on disruptive companies and their impact on the markets.
A core component of the video programming will be the use of news-related data analysis powered by Business Wire’s NewsTrak reports, which offer detailed release metrics and audience engagement information, and NUVI social media tracking. The production unit for the shows is Al Roker Entertainment, and the programming will be posted to Business Wire’s home page every Friday and Monday, and sent through Business Wire’s distribution network and social platforms.
