Cant-Miss Sessions at Communications Week 2015!

We’re less than two weeks away from Communications Week, and we can’t for you to join us! While all of the Communications Week programming is near and dear to our heart, there are a few extra special sessions that you want to be sure not to miss.

MONDAY

October 19 – the first day of Communications Week – PRSA-NY will organize two professional development and networking opportunities:

Social Media in a Financial Crisis: The Scariest Scenarios for Halloween. Industry experts from Actiance, Zeno Group and Yahoo! Finance will share their insights on how to use social media the next time something scary happens on The Street. For more information on this PRSA-NY event, and to register, click here

A Mock Tribunal of Healthcare PR. The panelists – including Randy Cohen, former NYT “ethicist, Paul Holmes, editor of the Holmes Report, and Michael Schubert, Ruder Finn’s Chief Innovation Officer – will hold a mock trial to debate the profession of healthcare PR. TUESDAY (Only a few seats left!) 

Business Wire will host a free morning of programming – with breakfast included! Tuesday’s first session is a One-on-One with Business Wire Chairman and CEO, Cathy Baron Tamraz. Cathy, who will be interviewed by Frank Washkuch of PRWeek, will discuss the impact of technology on communications and will also share insights and reveal findings from the 2015 Business Wire Media Survey. WEDNESDAY (#WebWednesday)

Perfect for those who can't get away from their desk, this entire day is designated to interesting and informative online sessions, including one from CommPRO.biz on PR Tech for Campaign Measurement; with Adweek on the Ins and Outs of Instagram; and a Blab on the Video Communications Revolution.

FRIDAY (Only a few seats left!) 

The day will look at design and communications trends. We just added new panelists for our “Visual Communications - Image is Everything" session. This panel will discuss how to leverage images and visual tools can sometimes be a more effective way to reach your target audience than words.
